Your trial is paused while the port is in progress, so you don't lose any trial days. Yes. Every paid plan includes HIPAA-grade infrastructure and a signed Business Associate Agreement. We don't gate HIPAA features behind enterprise pricing like most providers do.

Our BAA is signed online during onboarding (it's an instant 1-click experience, captured with IP + timestamp for audit). Our BAA with Vultr (infrastructure) was executed on July 9, 2026, and is blockchain-anchored for independent verification. Telnyx (fax transport) states in its Terms of Service that it acts as a conduit for the transmissions it carries, and we configure the service so no fax content is stored on their side; email notifications are zero-PHI by design.

We never charge you a surprise overage fee. If you approach your limit, we send you a friendly heads-up email at 80%. At 100% we suggest an upgrade or a one-time page bundle — your faxes still send while you decide.

If you hit 110%, sending and receiving pause until you upgrade or buy more pages. Incoming faxes are rejected without being accepted, so the sender gets a failure notice and can retry or call — nothing is ever silently lost. Service resumes immediately once you top up.

One-time bundles start at $15 for 500 pages and don't roll into recurring charges.

Solo, Plus and Team include one user. Business ($129/mo) includes five individual logins, each with its own credentials and its own entry in the audit log.

If more than one person in your office will handle protected health information, the HIPAA Security Rule requires assigning a unique identifier to each of them (45 CFR 164.312(a)(2)(i)). We do not recommend sharing a single set of credentials between people.

Sending from email is not supported — by design. Email was never built for PHI, so all faxes are sent from your secure LuzardoFax account, where every transmission is encrypted, logged, and covered by your BAA.

Unlike local numbers, where the sender pays, toll-free means we pay for the inbound minutes. We absorb that on the number your plan includes. Additional toll-free numbers beyond the first are $10/month each.

All customer data is stored on infrastructure located in the United States. Production runs in Miami, FL, and encrypted offsite backups are held in a second US region. Faxes, contacts, and audit logs are encrypted at rest using AES-256.
